We would like to inform our community of a recent incident involving a student who posted a threatening message on social media after school hours. As soon as we were made aware of the situation, we took immediate action at the school level and contacted local law enforcement.
Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. In addition to following our established disciplinary procedures for incidents of this nature, we have the following safety measures in place: weapons detection systems at all student and visitor entrances, School Resource Officers, the CENTEGIX alert system, and—under House Bill 268—we are in the process of implementing the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System.
Moving forward, if you or your student become aware of any potential threats, please notify law enforcement or a school administrator immediately. Additionally, if you have any concerns, we welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss them.
