Gifted Education Program
The Jeff Davis County Board of Education recognizes the need to provide gifted education services to students who have the potential for exceptional achievement in grades K-12.

GA Department of Education defines a gifted student as “a student who demonstrates a high degree of intellectual and/or creative ability(ies), exhibits an exceptionally high degree of motivation, and/or excels in specific academic fields, and who needs special instruction and/or special ancillary services to achieve at levels commensurate with his or her abilities.”

Jeff Davis Gifted Education Program focuses on developing cognitive, learning, research and reference, and meta-cognitive skills at each grade grouping using differentiated principles of instruction.  The Jeff Davis Gifted Education Program follows the standards and guidelines provided by the Georgia Department of Education.
